GW Liked my Giant...
So I went on to the GW site today and noticed that my giant got mentioned on the blog. I think that they liked it a bit because they had this to say:
Jay Adan is one of our regular contributors and this Giant is one of his latest pieces of work. The blending on the cloth and the skin is so flawless it's almost painful, while the texture on the lump of masonry and the rusty chain is suitably gritty. It's a perfect blend of painting techniques.
Yeah... I was pretty overwhelmed by that. I don't think that anybody has said anything quite so nice about my work before. I find positive reinforcement to be good for keeping me motivated and creative. I love it when I get e-mails from people telling me that they like what I do (I'm not fishing for compliments here - I'm just thanking those of you who have been moved to e-mail me in the past). So, yeah. I'm not sure what to say to that comment except - thanks!
I'm not sure how I'm going to top that giant but I'm certainly going to try.
